Online booking strongly recommended on weekends and public holidays. Please note that the Bassins are cold so bring something to cover up.
Culturespaces and the Estate of Antoine de Saint Exupéry have joined forces to present “The Little Prince,” an original creation specially designed for the Bassins des Lumières, opening on October 18.
This immersive exhibition invites you to discover or rediscover “The Little Prince” from a whole new angle. Saint Exupéry's watercolors and words come to life on the floors and walls, transporting us to a world where imagination knows no bounds. Roses, foxes and snakes speak, and we travel from desert to meadows, from planet to planet without the slightest difficulty, as neither time nor space seem to have any power over us.
Enveloped in this poetic universe, we accompany the little prince on his quest to understand and master the world around him. This quest reflects our own search for meaning and connection through the story's timeless themes: questions and answers, adult and child, happiness and sorrow, love and friendship, visible and invisible. "The Little Prince" invites us to look beyond appearances and rediscover our ability to wonder.
Whether we are children or adults, “The Little Prince” has something to tell us, something to show us. In fact, “The Little Prince” is not so much for children as for the child in all of us. It's an invitation to discover the magic and simplicity of the world, and to remember the importance of imagination, curiosity and compassion. As Saint Exupéry said, "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
