How to get to the Bassins des Lumières
By car
Disabled parking spaces are available opposite the site entrance in the municipal car park.
By public transport
The Bordeaux Métropole bus network is accessible to people with reduced mobility. All TBM buses are equipped with retractable ramps and have designated spaces on board, providing specific services for wheelchair users (depending on the model of bus, they can accommodate one or two wheelchair users).
The Mobi'guide service is available for people who are able to travel on the TBM network. A professional assistant will accompany you on the journey from curb-to-curb by bus or tram. Simply validate your ticket or travel pass when boarding the network.
Mobibus: the City of Bordeaux and the TBM transport network operate the Mobibus service for people with reduced mobility. This service is an on-demand public transport shuttle that serves the 28 municipalities of Bordeaux Métropole.
The driver accompanies you and provides assistance from inside your departure point and drops you off inside your destination. If you do not need the driver to come inside to meet you, you can opt for “curbside pickup” and indicate this when booking. Pick-up and drop-off are provided on the curb outside the specified address.

Visiting the Bassins des Lumières
To make your visit as easy and comfortable as possible, Bassins des Lumières offers a range of facilities and services tailored to your needs.
- The Bassins des Lumières is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Access ramps are installed at the entrance to the shop and at the stage area opposite the tiered seating.
- Assistance dogs are permitted. Please make sure that your dog is wearing a harness or vest that clearly identifies its role. You do not need to register your assistance dog prior to your visit.
- Wheelchairs are available to borrow on reservation, depending on availability.
- Folding chairs are available from reception on request for visitors who may need to rest during their visit.
- Tiered seating is available inside the Bassins.
- Adapted restroom facilities are available.
